Massimo Majowiecki

• Born in Milano, 15 March 1945. Mr. Majowiecki graduated from the School of Engineering of the University of Bologna on Oct. 30, 1969
• Mr. Majowiecki was awarded with the first prize by U.I.S.A.A. (Ufficio Italiano Sviluppo Acciaio – Italian Office for Steel Development) as the author of the best Italian degree thesis on the subject matter.
• Mr. Majowiecki won a scholarship from 1970 through 1974 to continue his studies at the Department of Structural Engineering (University of Bologna, School of Engineering); said scholarship was funded by C.N.R. (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche – National Research Council).
• Mr. Majowiecki took part to the nation-wide competition for the appointment of assistant lecturers to the Chair of Construction Engineering, School of Engineering of the University of Bologna, in November 1972 (Official Journal No. 24, part 2a, of June 14, 1973).
• Assistant lecturer to the chair of Construction Engineering (University of Bologna, School of Engineering), as of November 1, 1973 (D.R. no. 2456 of July 1, 1974).
• Associate Professor of Special structures at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bologna from 1978 to 2001.
• Mr. Majowiecki is a member of I.A.S.S. (International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures).
• Working Group no. 4 – Tension-structures.
• Working Group no. 16 – Retractable Roofs.
• Mr. Majowiecki is a member of the project team Eurocode EC3, part 1-11 (structural cables).
• Mr. Majowiecki is a member of IABSE (International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering).
• Mr. Majowiecki was Professor of Structural Architecture in IUAV, University of Venice from 2001 to 2010.
• Mr. Majowiecki is actually Professor of Structural engineering in the University of Bologna.
