Modena Stadium

Modena - 2004

The structures are of tubular shaped metal pillars on which variable section l curve beams are set, onto which are arranged the supporting seats for the precast steps. Sword shaped beams that support the roof (by means of struts, tie beams and braces), are made of welded plates in order to provide an l curved section of a variable height and they are connected to the top lower beams.

The roof is made by connecting micro-perforated corrugated sheets, placed upside down on each other and secured by means of rivets along the ribs.

A PTFE pre-stressed membrane is positioned by means of timber spacers on top of the sheets and it ensures the impermeability of the structure.
